These terms
These terms apply to the kidslab.lk website and to the seminars and courses run by VM Lumic (Pvt) Ltd. By registering, you accept them on your own behalf and on behalf of the child you are registering.
VM Lumic (Pvt) Ltd, 1/108, Pelawaththa Circle Road, Hittatiya Central, Matara 81000, Sri Lanka. Email info@kidslab.lk, phone +94 76 397 7035.
Who may register
Our programmes are designed for children aged 9–14. A parent or legal guardian must complete the registration and must be reachable on the phone number and email address given.
You confirm that the details you give us are accurate and that you have the authority to enrol the child named.
The free introductory seminar
The introductory seminar is free, carries no obligation to enrol in a paid course, and is held live online. Seats are limited and allocated in the order registrations are received.
We will send the joining link to the email address you registered with. If a session has to be rescheduled, we will tell you by email and, where the notice is short, by phone or WhatsApp.
Paid courses, fees and refunds
The fee for a course, what it covers, the payment schedule and the refund window are stated in writing at the time of enrolment. Those enrolment terms govern the fee; nothing on this page changes them.
Fees are quoted in Sri Lankan rupees. A seat is confirmed when payment is received.
If we cancel a course, or cannot run sessions we have charged for, we refund the fee for the sessions not delivered.
Classes and conduct
Classes are held live online. You are responsible for the device, the internet connection and a quiet place for your child to take part — we cannot refund a session missed because of a problem at your end, though we will always try to help a child catch up.
We ask that children treat their teacher and classmates with respect. We may remove a participant whose behaviour repeatedly disrupts a class, after speaking with the parent first.
We may record sessions for the benefit of children who miss them. Recordings are shared only with the class. Tell us before a session if you would prefer your child not to appear on camera, and we will accommodate it.
Course materials
Slides, worksheets, code and recordings we provide are for the personal use of the enrolled child and their family. Please do not republish them, share them outside the class, or use them to run a class of your own.
Work your child creates in class belongs to your child.
The website
We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw parts of it.
Course content and schedules described on the site may change. Where a change affects a course you have paid for, we will tell you directly.
Limits of our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, our responsibility in connection with a course is limited to the fees you paid for it, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.
We describe what children learn honestly, but we do not promise a particular educational or career outcome.
Ending an enrolment
You may withdraw your child from a course at any time by telling us in writing; the refund position is the one set out in your enrolment terms.
We may end an enrolment if fees go unpaid, or in the rare case described under conduct above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Before that, please write to us at info@kidslab.lk — nearly everything is settled with a phone call.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms in force when you enrolled govern that enrolment.
